If you haven't seen my original post about our Alphabet Trip Around the State, be sure to check it out!
In January when we were without power for 6 days we took some time to travel up to the Seattle area for the Boeing Museum of Flight to check off B for Boeing. We had a great time seeing all of the airplanes and visiting with our friends the Roger's who meet up with us there.
This last Tuesday we had some time to kill in Olympia between swim lessons, Kyla's doctor's appointment, and my dentist appointment. Since Zac was with us to help out with all the of morning business, he suggested we head over to the Capitol to check off O for Olympia. We jumped in on a tour of the Capital which was really cool and the kids ended up with some neat Washington State coloring books.
Today we made the trek again to Seattle! First we bought tickets and took a ride in an elevator to cross off S for Space Needle. The kids loved seeing the water and all the sights of Seattle from so high up! Next we walked across the street to the EMP (experience music project) to cross off X for Jimmy Hendrix! There were lots of things to see and do at the EMP and the kids enjoyed it much more than I thought they would. It was a very busy day and Kyla fell asleep in the car before we made it back to I-5 with a cracker in her hand and one in her mouth!
